To serve the campus more efficiently, the following procedures have been initiated:
Argosy University, Chicago Help Desk System
The Information Technology (IT) department has a campus Help Desk system. All IT issues are now required to be emailed to the Argosy University, Chicago Help Desk at: auchihelpdesk@edmc.edu . A ticket is automatically issued when an email is received. This will help to ensure that the whole IT department is aware of all issues so that whoever is available can attend to your problem. If a specific request needs to be completed by a particular deadline, please include the date and time in your email to the Argosy University, Chicago help desk.
There will be times when sending an email to the Argosy University, Chicago help desk will not be needed. Immediate issues in a classroom do not require a help desk request, and the faculty or staff member can come by the IT department offices or call the IT Staff (Jerard Reibel, 312.777.7644; Julius Aldana, 312.777.7643). Minor IT classroom issues can be noted by a faculty or staff member using the yellow forms on the clipboards located in each classroom. These are periodically checked by the IT staff and are particularly useful for evening and weekend faculty needs. Also, other issues that will not need to be submitted through the Argosy, Chicago help desk are email problems, network failures, or any other IT related emergencies that need immediate assistance.
Issues such as password lockouts, CampusVue, Faculty Portal, and the Lawson system problems will require staff and faculty to contact the EDMC help desk (help@edmc.edu or call 1-888-424-4435).
Access to the Argosy University, Chicago Email system from off-site
EDMC Webmail will allow you to check your Argosy University Email from just about any computer. This does not have to be a school owned computer and can be checked from off campus. The EDMC Webmail instructions explain the basic steps to access and log on to your email account.
Cisco Clean Assess (CCA) is on every campus computer and is installed to prevent unauthorized users from accessing the student and administrative networks. The "How to Log on to CCA" provides the steps to log on to Cisco Clean Access in the classroom and/or lab environment.
